Last few weeks there has been good buzz in our laboratory space. Seems that our prototype building is starting, slowly but surely. We got a lot of new parts and we have started to build cooling system for our chamber. At first, we will test it with dry ice and see how it will work, and then maybe try it with liquid nitrogen.
Here are Jari and Ville working with cooling system. Our idea is to cool down the liquid and use it to cool down our main chamber.
Teemu has been working with his plastic chamber. This version is bigger than previous one and can withstand cold dry ice pretty well. In testing we actually reached as low as 16 mBar, so it is also sealed ok. Teemu will continue further development.
